After losing him, I made a promise to turn my pain into purpose and build a space where awareness, compassion, and hope could grow. This foundation is a reminder that no one has to struggle alone—and healing begins with connection.
Why I Created The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu
The Forsythe Foundation was born from the deepest pain a mother can know the loss of my son, Jawuan “JuJu” Booker. JuJu was brilliant, creative, loving, and full of potential, but he also carried quiet struggles with depression, anxiety, and feeling misunderstood. When he passed, my world shattered. Yet in that darkness, I made a promise: JuJu’s light, love, and compassion would not be silenced.
This is more than an organization.
It is love in action.
It is healing in motion.
It is JuJu’s legacy, living on through every friend, every supporter, and every life we touch.
